The other day in my 2006 Tacoma TRD sport I was going down a gravel road about 55-60 I had to slam on my brakes to miss a dog in the road that popped out of nowhere. I came to complete stop and now I'm noticing a vibration in the brake pedal when i slow down. Did i break something?

    Yep.
Usually an indication of warped rotors... but that comes from overheating. I don't think a single stop could achieve that.

I came to a screeching halt. But I wouldn't think a single stop would achieve that.

    X2 on this

But I had to make a quick stop the other day, because some goof pulled out in front if me. I also noticed some vibrating shortly after, but it went away after a couple days. Haven't had the time to look, but seems ok and just by peeking through didn't notice anything. :notsure: . Maybe pads shift alittle on a hard stop, and re-seat after a short time.

Edit: I should also clarify, mine was more of a pulsating in the pedal, not vibrating.

sounds like your abs working but should go away. I had similar problem on my Honda accord when braking pretty hard, thought I had warped rotors. time for new tires and with the new tires the problem went away, rotors were fine. I guess the belts slipped in the Michelins, could not tell exactly what was wrong with the tires. the only other thing is you could have a sticking piston in your calipers. I have had that problem with a chevy 4wd.

What kind of vibration are you getting? Is the steering wheel vibrating with it? Or do you just feel it in the pedal? Does it sound like rumble strips?

Just feel it in my brake pedal but no doesn't make any noise and my steering wheel shakes because of my tires. It might be because my tire tread looks like nascar tires. Haha. Time for new ones. I'm thinking Trail Grappler m/t or Open Country m/t.
