Got back from a day trip to test out my new lift/suspension (Baja Kit). So far everything is good w/ one exception. I think I'm limiting my uptravel with the airbags/spacers I put on.

Going over big bumps the front soaks it up great, the back soaks and then hits hard. I'm thinking I should make the spacers shorter but I also don't want to tear a bag on full droop...Any thoughts?? Does the bag look too compressed at rest? This is with 5psi.

Anyway, here are some pics. Had a Duratrac sidewall rip, read some conflicting info on them being weak and I'm hoping this was a coincidence.

    Bags were at 5psi.

Tires were at 30 rear and 33 front and it was a front that went. The tire is a C rated tire, I wanted to save as much weight as possible.

Airing down won't always prevent, but will reduce the likelihood of tears/flats.

That's crazy the duratrac sidewall tore, I got 33" on my 82' and wheel the shit out of it all over Colorado and have never done that. Op, your truck is awesome by the way I like the Baja lift you put on.

Cool. Check out the NorCal board. This was the first trip I've taken the truck on but before my wheeling was all done on my camping trips. I just went for a day trip out to Indian Valley Reservoir by Clear Lake, more of a dirt road with a couple hills and stuff off to the sides.

There is an Off Road Park type of place down in Monterey (Hollister Hills) that people go to a lot. I want to check it out but thinking I should get sliders first.

Guess I got unlucky...strange, I've heard of people having problems with the sidewalls and some not. Maybe there is an optimal pressure to run them.
