Where do you guys store your camper shell when it is not on the truck. I have seen pic's of a storage system where it is lifted up above the truck with some type of rope suspension system in a garage. Anyone ever try something like this? I don't have space to store mine unless it is in the garage then I won't be able to park my truck in the garage if it just laying on the floor. Any ideas?

I'm having the same dilemma myself right now. Thought about building a hoist system in my single car garage but what a pain to have to back up into the garage all the time. (It's pretty tight as it is and not that high of a ceiling.) I plan on selling the house soon so I didn't want to go thru all the hassle setting it up.

Solution, ask dad and see if I can leave it on the deck in his backyard, for now. :D

If I had my laptop, I have a link saved with someone that did build a hoist, try and search a lil...

I have the same problem, and I've found the safest and cleanest place to leave it is on the truck.

I have left mine on my utility trailer before since it allows me to.move it around the yard. Only problem is that sometimes I actually need the trailer and I also worrry that someone might steal my camper shell. So I end up just leaving it on the truck most of the time. Sure would be nice to have a garage with a high ceiling, I would have it hoisted up.

My Mom just sold her house, she had 3.6 acres. I'm sure I could have found a place to store it there. My place doesn't have the yard space to store it outside. The ceiling in the garage isn't high enough to park the truck inside without backing it into the garage.
