Hi, im looking for a bed cover to buy my father for his 2012 Tacoma 4x4 extended cab truck. He wants a soft roll up style cover that will work with the factory sliding rail system. Im having a hard time finding one that says it will work with the rail system. I know he doesnt want to cut or drill anything on his truck. If someone could recommend one to me that fits I would greatly appreciate it. I know this question has probably been asked before but im having trouble navigating the search functions. Trying to find the best one available. Thanks again.

I forgot to add. I would like to stay under $600 if possible.

Some flags and center console divider... lots of things on the wanted list.
Don't know about your guy's... but I couldn't use my rail system under the top. I had to get slim line cleats from the web.

What about the Access Limited cover? I noticed it has a few extra features. Will this fit with the rails and cleats?

The rail yes, cleats no. I had to get some slim line cleats to fit, and I still had to cut them a bit. You just need to go by a store and find some that may or may not work. Some sit higher than others and some don't use the railing system.

For the Access LiteRider, I can 100% confirm you can use regular size OEM bed cleats. I have them still mounted and use them occasionally. LiteRider is not a low profile cover. Access has 6 different versions, some of the low profile ones will not work with regular sized bed cleats, but only the smaller ones.

Increased capacity covers from Access (LiteRider is one of them):

    Low profile covers from Access:

Here is a comparison chart with cover height above box measurements:

Should be same as LiteRider, but has better warranty, more weather stripping and "nicer" tension dial etc. Just more features and warranty I guess. Same dimensions as LiteRider. Cleats fit under LiteRider, so should not be any different.

Btw, the LiteRider (and other models probably too) come preadjusted for Tacoma's box dimesnions. I literally assembled it, mounted over top of the box and did not have to make a single adjustment.

Thanks Ron, it has LED tails you sold me. :D

Since the pic was taken, it does not have side steps anymore, has plasti-dipped badges, AR hub caps and Husky "non 4x4" mud flaps...
