A buddy put one on his stock TRD Sport 4x4 a while back. The extra weight screwed up his alignment, which ate up the insides of his front tires. He wound up buying 2 new tires and an alignment.

Many of the ranchers I know have Ranch Hand brush gaurds on their full size trucks. I always wondered if they had anything for the Tacoma. Which model? Pics when done?

Ranch Hands are definitely some of the best built you can get. We have them on all our work trucks. Careful, sometimes it's cheaper to fix smashed body work than a tweaked frame, i've seen it before... It's a trade off really, save your radiator and get where you need to go with a possible tweaked frame, or smash up the front end, possibly be stranded due to radiator puncture but have straight frame... All about what "you" need! Post pics when its on :D

I've heard them called "Damage Multipliers". I'm sure there's a reason.

Yea. They fuck some shit up just to whatever you hit, not your truck. On this site "damage multipliers" usually refer to bull bar type guards.

We've got one on a dodge ram we use on the farm. It's hit double digit deer and only has a little dent in the head light cover to show for it which is just superficial anyway. Ranchhand's are great. Didn't know they made one for the Tacoma however I'm interested in seeing a pic of one.

I worked for ranch hand for 4 years. Damage multipliers are Aries style stuff and other varies thin gauge material items.

Ranch hand is very rigid and can take a beating. Pic of one of these in my build thread. You won't be disappointed in the structure!

Ranch hand only makes a brush guard.

Try toughcountry.com if you want a ranch hand style replacement

    I'm sorry, what?
It'll certinally save your truck. Ours has paid for itself 10 times over. They usually run from $600-1400 USD for steel plate that will actually protect the truck, to a point.

That is an 89 lb brush guard there. I don't see any Tacoma love from Tough Country.
