    Nothing yet, brand new!
I went to the dealer over the weekend. Looked in the back lot at teh new ones and was a little shocked. Every access cab and even the standard cab 4x4 SR5 were all priced the same on the stickers. Wasn't a single one there under 29k. Double cabs were 31k.
On a side note: the new grey looks sweeeettt..

none except for crappy hub caps and floor mats.
That's why I'll never buy a brand-new taco. The last time I considered buying a new taco I went to the dealer and was also blown away at how expensive they are. There is no way in hell I would ever pay over $20,000 for a new truck. No way. So the next "new" taco I get will be a minimum of 3-4 years old.

i bought mine 3 years ago for $24,500. I considered getting a new one (because i liked the new grey) so i went to the stealership with my original sticker in hand. we matched things up exactly and the new ones was consistently $28,300 or more. Obviously there are a few changes (steering wheel controls, back up cam, etc) but over all the price DID increase. I stuck with my black one, which is, afterall the color I choose 3 years ago.....

Just got a 09 Prerunner Doublecab for under $25k out the door with my windows tinted and a $600 clear bra on the hood and front bumper.

I had to order the gray color cause no dealer had it around, I'm sure I could have talked them down much more on a truck that had been sitting on their lot for a while.

Seeing the third gen section forced me to get a Ford...
i paid 29k for my 09 dc sport 4x4. after my downpayment, i had to finance 24k. the safety features, cam, vsc + trac (or atrac depending on model), make it more costly for sure. even when i got my 07, the same model would have been 27k, so overall, its not that bad

The sticker price doesn’t' mean crap!!!! Especially in this economy. Even two years ago I got an 2007 DC SR5 with Tow package, Upgrated wheels, Tint, and LSC for $24,000 OTD. With the free suspension fix/upgrade I basically got a Sport DC Taco with tow package.

That's silly. The economy is bad and everything should be discounted to encourage buying and sales.

There were higher rebates for the truck back then which in the dealer's mind doesn't cancel out the bad economy.. although it should and then some..

When I was truck shopping one salesman told me with a straight face that he was still selling as many vehicles as he was 4 years ago. I find that hard to believe when Toyota's stock is the lowest it's been in 5 years.

After some research and shopping I found that because of the lower rebates, increased popularity of the truck, additional safety features and standard options, yes the truck has increased in price. If you're good you can get it for what you would have gotten it for 2 or 3 years ago, but to do that you're gonna have to find a dealership that is hurting, I know they are all hurting, but you're gonna have to find one who is willing to close the deal and hardly make any money off it.

I heard a commercial on the radio today that a Toyota dealership in Austin was matching Toyota's incentive ($2000 off I think), so they were offering $4000 off sticker price. Seems like a pretty good discount to start with.

used prices are so high it almost makes sense to buy new, thats what I did.

Also, I got in on 2% financing which is impossible on a used car. they were offering 0% for a shorter term as well. 6%@20K=1200year in interest
    2%@30K=600/year.

You have the upper hand when purchasing a new truck right now due to the state of the economy.........If that dealer won't work w/you their are 10 others that will.................good luck.:D

+1 - My point of view is the depreciation. $26k new, $17,500 two years old with 20k miles, Certified.

Yes, I don't know what happened with in the first 20,000 miles, but if Toyota is willing to Certify it, I have confidence it's a solid vehicle.

I do know that the Toyota Rebate incentive went down AFTER 2/1609. (At least here in Massachusetts).

Before Rebate was $2k now its $1500 bucks.

WoW!! I had no idea these little tacos cost so much!! I got my fathers 06 DC TRD sport as a hand me down when he got the new Tundra. I love my truck even with over 93k miles this thing drives like a brand new truck. I definitely recommend buying used especially with imports like Toyota.:D
