This is an accessories option in some areas(Nebraska) on 2013 4WDs. Nice looking upgrade. Anyone have these? Are they worth $695?

If you live in an area that uses salt on the road I think an upgrade from steel wheels is nice. My SR5 came with those Baja wheels and I didn't like them personally but it's just personal preference.

Do you know how wide they are? I was thinking it would be a way to get a wider wheel than the stock steel for a tire upgrade from the stock 245/75x16s to 265/70x16s. I don't understand why the brochures don't give wheel widths! :(

The Baja wheels are exactly like this, but in the gray finish....

$695 is a deal, especially if you like them. Dealer cost is almost $200/each not including the lug nuts that are required

Thanks guy, but those are probably like the wheels that come on the Baja model. The Baja wheel option shown as an accessory option on the AC/DC 4WD build configurator is completely different looking. You can get on the Toyota web site build configurator by entering the Nebraska zip code, 68653 which will circumvent the two independent distributors, who won't let you do a build.

I tried to get the Baja wheels you are speaking of when I ordered my new PreRunner. Picking it up next week. For some reason, which I don't completely understand, the order kept being kicked back from Toyota....Something about this region and not being able to get them. I would have gladly paid the extra $695. Instead, I got the $400 alloy wheels....

I'll bet the same thing would happen to me in Okla. But I can't build a Tacoma with my zip to even see if it's possible to order them, and I don't think the local dealer would even know what I'm talking about. :(

But hey, congratulations on your new Runner! :)

Those wheels are the 'Baja' wheels that my SR5 came with except mine were graphite colored. They came with 245/75R16 tires but you can put 265/70R16 tires on them also (as shown above). The same wheels in black like above came on the Rugged Trail edition and had 265 series tires from the factory.

I first ordered it with steel wheels. I didn't think I wanted the alloy's. When I realized I made a mistake, it was too late to change the order. The dealer said that was no problem---they would just sell the one with steel wheels when it came in. So I re-ordered it with the alloy wheels. The one with steel wheels is on the dealer's lot now, for sell. Here it is:

That was my idea - get the SR5 with the optional $695 Bajas and replace the 245/75s with 265/70s. Those other alloys that Brandon showed earlier are on the TX Baja edition

The dealer also gives lifetime oil changes, lifetime state inspections, and guarantees the engine for life...I am happy with the wheels that I did get, but I would have been happier with the Baja wheels...
