PreRunner low gear

    I notice the other day that when i shift to L gear the dash indicator dont light up and my truck doesn't stay in low gear instead it shifts up to 2nd and stays there. any thoughts on this?

    Sounds like a linkage issue. Remove the center console and look for issues when shifting into low.

    Start from a stop and put it in low. Does it work? You can put the selector wherever but the computer knows if the revs are too high to downshift

    Gonna check out the linkage. Truck shifts fine i just cant get it to stay in 1st gear.
