44 years with Toyota dealership. Being a GM of a Toyota store forever. The info is correct.
Before you get into someone in the business on the forum. I am on this as I only drive Taco's for my demo (wife has dif demo) and I will buy one at retirement (Tundra just to big). No I do not wish to sell anyone on the forum a Toyota. Nor will I price one, but glad to answer the other questions.

All cars look ugly with that camo they put on. Look up spy photos and you'll see.

Not to bug about this, but being in the car business maybe you can answer why Toyota would trade a silver for silver and a metallic blue for a metallic blue? Why can't they offer different colors so that customers have options from one year to the next?

I cannot tell you one dealer that I know who has not been asking for real red on Tacos. Sure didn't happen again this new year.
There is no answer at dealer or distributor level on the colors you are asking about as well. Sure not from problem with the silver.

Skewp is not functional. You can mall crawl without the skewp.

Yup, that's it. I was assuming it was a diesel because A) the tailpipe was pretty large diameter, and B) the bursts of white smoke.

In any case, bursts of white smoke periodically is not good. It burst out about 4 times in maybe two miles.

And it wasn't towing, it did have what looked to be the Class IV hitch on it.

I know about camo. But the shape of the truck underneath is what I was referring to as ugly. Style details might be different, but the design of the body and proportions are ugly to me.

They will frequently put foam blocks and pads under the camo to hide the actual shape.

One of the old Tundra doublecab spy photos in '03 had a cab sail on it that made it look like a Ridgeline.

Lol the foam or whatever they added in above the license plate makes the truck look like it has a tiny nutsack.

If you noticed what I've done to my truck and that this current build is my third Tacoma, you would have realized I was joking. But thank you. I actually sold my last sport with the condition that I take my hood with me when I bought my OffRoad we would switch hoods. Now I have a off road with a skewp. And why did I do all this, to up my horsepower for mall crawling!!! :kona:

For someone with 25 posts, you come across rather negatively, additionally that was a reasonable question, where the info came from. And really with the "Before you get into someone in the business on the forum" followed by an "I don't" and a "Nor will I" :annoyed:

    Too many to list now.
You have 445 posts and didn't come across as "positive". I'm happy to have the gm of a dealership on here, he can only provide valuable information to us, as he just has. What are you bringing to the table besides the ability to scare away new members who'd like to contribute something? Don't hassle the guy for being up front about what his expectations are. I could see someone in his position getting a LOT of pm's asking for deals or inside info. Just cleared it up right at the start.

It was a legit question... I honestly wanted to know where he got the info. And the response did come off as quite arrogant... I'm not trying to get into it with anyone just wanted to know if he had inside info. But as HonoluluTaco said :annoyed: You post this information and then say you're not going to talk about it. Sorry us TW members without 44 yrs experience aren't privileged enough for your inside information. And benbacher, what did he contribute that was so valuable? All he said so far was the new Tacoma will be out in 2016 and won't say how he knows. But he does have 44 yrs experience and we should take his word for it because its on the internets...

Give the guy a break. He is just trying to help. Im sure they get insider info. 2016 sounds about right. If they out sell every truck brand in the nation and don't give customers simple features like a locking tail gate or a bed light, they aren't worried about coming out with a redesign any time soon.
