what do you guys use to carry items in the bed?

hi guys. I have a regular cab tacoma. I was wondering what you guys use to carry your backpacks, grocercy bags, etc... Do you just put bins back there to carry these stuff? do have links or pictures of what they look like? thank you!

 

put a 2"X6" board in the 1st slots of ur bed liner(close to the cab), that will keep ur grocieries & back packs & such from sliding all around!

 

propane tanks (2 gallon) golf clubs(my dad) firewood, pinestraw, and a few other things.

If I had a regular cab, I would probably need a toolbox for the reason you mentioned (diamond plated ).

As stated, separate the front 2ft using a 2x6. You could get a tonneau cover (roll-up or tri-fold) to keep the wind from blowing everything around.

Beyond that, I keep a bungee cord on hand that stretches the width of the truck. String and loop it through the items and secure to both sides.

Here's how I do it...

 

Tonneau, cargo net, and a large assortment of different types of bungies.

 

i just throw bookbags and other crap in the back and what i think might fly off i put in the passenger seat

 

What year tacoma do you have?

If you have an 05+, then you already know the composite bed is SLIPPERY.

I have a rubber bed mat that's pretty nice. I can lay just about anything on it without tying it down and it doesn't move. I also have a tonneau cover, so I don't worry about stuff flying out of the bed either.

I do have ratchet straps for those heavier loads & tonneau cover comes off.

A box with a Master Flow MF-1050 air compressor,jumper cables,gloves,qt of oil and bungees and a bed extender for groceries..

 

I have a tonneau cover and the factory cargo bars mounted upside down.These work great for the larger stuff,but grocs and smaller items can still move around.I've been trying to think up some way of modding one of my bars to replicate the factory cargo divider somehow.

 

What is a factory cargo bar? Any pics?
