Ha! Hard to after installing the calibrator. Thing picks up and goes! On my next tank I'll be paying better attention to the rpm's. Thing is, even before I installed the URD stuff I wasn't ever getting over 17 on a light foot.

Chad7088, that is the whole thing right there...RPMs! Keep your rpms down and your mpgs WILL improve. All of us who have tried it have had success whether 2wd/4wd V6 or four banger...low rpms guarantee better mpgs. The truck strenth is there whrn we neef it, no need to rev it and show it off...unless they dont care about mpg. BTW..Go Steelers!

Agreed! Low rpm is key to better MPG.

Made a 375 mile trip yesterday with the cruise set on 78mph and I only got 18.9 Like other pickups I've owned, 2000RPM and under seems to always get the best gas mileage and when you get above 2k on the rrrr's the MPG start dropping and the faster you drive the faster it falls off.

From 10mpg this winter to 16.3mpg with my latest fill-up. Stock 4.0 4x4 SR5 Access Cab with Cooper AT3 LT245/75-16 inflated 40psi. I have no clue why my mileage is getting better but I'm liking it.

What kind of driving are you doing to get only 10 mpg's?? Especially with 245's??? My lowest is 17mpg's and that's with 265's and traveling 80 on the interstate, seems like you should be getting better than that.

Do any of you do correct your odometer when you put those large diameter tires on your trucks?

I was getting 20 mpg with big heavy 245/75/16 tires even with correcting for their 13% larger diameter than stock. When I went back to the stock 5 lug diameter with 235/60/16's my mileage increased to 24. I'm happy with that because it's reasonably economical gas mileage for a fully loaded work truck.

I got my truck to use as a truck for camping, road trips and to go to work and back, did not care about the MPG's, it does what I want it to do and that's be a truck! However, I do average about 18mpg combined hwy and city! Better than my Mustang!

My first personal fill up landed me an average of 17.6 30/70 DBL Cab V6. 568 miles on the odometer. Hopefully it improves more.. So far loving it! My g35x was averaging 16's!

Haven't had the truck running long enough to know what kind of mileage I get- I've only put 41 miles on the rebuild. (Still waiting on inspection!) Not to mention, my fuel gauge doesn't work, so I just throw gas in it when I feel the need, without any indicator of how much is in it.

A Vette is an aerodynamically correct vehicle, and HP to weight is much better as well.
