If I'm not going offroading, do I need a ~$1000 lift kit?

Preload spacer and rock it. Don't like it later, they're cheap you can always do something different.

If you are not going to "off road" there is no point in it. You are just throwing money away... but then again it is your money and your truck.

For real. I take mine off roading with my stacked ATV trailer but not on seriously difficult terrain. Who cares if someone calls you "poser" or "bro". IDGAF, my truck does the job in the trails and at the mall and I enjoy it; so should you. Do what you want and good luck! :)

I think he drinks the same shit he pours into the gas tank of that car before each video. Acetone or something IIRC.

Actually most of what he said is true. Have a read through the forums and it proves the points.

    hahaha

why do you care so much? it's his money. do whatever you want man - make that truck look good.

tons of people around the country run spacer lifts and are fine. if you take it offroad you MIGHT run into problems - but you'll be fine on the pavement with a spacer lift.

Personally, I dont think anyone should have ever invented the spacer lift. It's just plain retarded when you realistically think about what it is and does. Just plain stupid.
I think you should get some lift coils. Some OME 885's on your stock suspension should do you just fine. You'll get aprox 2" in front while maintaining great ride. Best "cheap" lift IMO.

I gotta say I like mine just fine. I use my truck everyday on rough ass roads with a small load in the back of tools and such. This is the second truck with spacers and it rides and drives fine. The backs a little bouncy with the blocks but the stock springs suck if you put a beating on them after a pretty short time. I'll be switching to dakars soon but as it sits. I have a 3 inch revtek with 285-75-17's and love it. Go for it they look sweet lifted and it's there when you do decide to do offload. Mines plenty capable.

I love the guy. Looks about my age.

Coming from another Prerunner owner I would say hold off. If you really wanted to go off road (which btw you can do some shit with a Prerunner) you would have bought a 4x4. That said if you like me who has 120K on his suspension, you might want to replace it with something that not only makes the ride better but makes the truck look a bit more aggressive.

Hold off till you need to replace the suspension-otherwise its sorta a waste of money
