265/75/16's can look really good with the right wheel. I was in the same situation as the OP a while ago when I got my Duratracs and lift with stock wheels. But after I bought new aftermarket wheels (with 4.5 backspacing and 0 offset) the tires stick out just enough give that aggressive look, while still being legal. Best part is my MPG's don't suffer as much and I didn't need to hack up the truck to make them fit.

Here's another stance picture of 265/75/16's. Billies at 1.75 installed. (Pre derping and pre lame bed box removal.)

This. I've seen plenty of trucks on here with 265/75/16 or 265/70/17s that look great....yours included. I would leave it alone and not worry about it.

Function over form. Your rig is more capable with the current size tire than if you were to try to cram 33's under there. You'd be rubbing on everything if you ever stuffed one of your tires. I think it looks great. I've got the OME lift and I plan on 265/75/16's this winter. Could I fit bigger? Yea. Do I want to cut up my truck, sacrifice performance, and pay just that much more at the pump for marginal gains off road (where my truck will be maybe 5% of the time)? Nope.

My next question then... for those with spacers in the 1.5" range and similar tire set up... how does your paint fare? Lots of new chips from road debris or no real difference?

FWIW, I'm going to 265/70/17's with 5100s at 1.75" once I get my lazy arse to order a coil spring compressor.

Truck looks sick! Keep the 265's, unless you need 285's for something other than looks. But I like the look of 265's even with a 3" lift. I wish they made a 275/75/16. I think that would be the perfect size, that's why I think I'm going with a 17" wheel and 275/70... I like the white letters out too

I really like the color and stance of your rig and I think the BFG 265's look awesome on your rig.

I also like Grieby54's "function over form" comment in this case. Also think of the slight gas money you will be saving running 265's that can go towards other mods...cause moding never ends at TW. :D

I did the same thing when I only went with 265s. I think my truck looked weenie until I got my wheels. Spacers or aftermarket wheels will help big time. This is 265/75R16 with 4.5" back spacing.

The 4.5" backsapcing converts to what spacer wise on stocks?

As long as you keep your front mud flaps on and don't trim them you'll be fine. After installing my new wheels I have not noticed any rock chips from debris being thrown up and I'm SUPER picky about my truck's paint.

OP, I think it looks great.

For your suspension, did you just add the billies up front at 1.75"? Stock coils? Nothing added for the rear? Do you have 3 or 4 leafs in the rear?

If I got 265's I knew I would eventually want 285's, possibly before my 265's would even need to be replaced. I'm still trimming and shopping around for a cab mount chop on my 2012 with 285/70/17's but thankfully the changes are hardly cosmetic or noticeable.

Bro, I went through the same thing and ALMOST bought 285/75/16s Nitto's because i thought the 265/75/16's looked to small. I only have 5K on these tires and finally settled down and will ride these out. They look good but not as big as I'd like em too. Instead of buying the tires I satisfied myself by getting different side bars and a powered sub for under my seat! LOL. Your truck looks good and enjoy!
