Puka dog is a hot dog stand in Waikiki. Must be a tourist thing if you've never heard of it. Maybe I'll pass.

You're better off eating Hawaiian food than a puka dog. Get some good poke, laulau and Kalua pig. Hard to find kulolo these days.

sounds like the city setting is not your deal. hop islands to the big island. more laid back, more sight seeing, and all the weather settings you want. tacomas is the bonus here ;).

I love big city's but damn Honolulu is a mess. And I'm here to relax anyway. Not fight traffic. I love it up here in Wialua.

Last night they had a big ho'olaule'a (block party) in Waikiki. That could have been one reason it was all jacked.
In Haleiwa there's a huli huli (rotisserie) chicken stand next to a store , behind the bus stop, on a dirt lot. Gotta try it its really good and try Aoki's Shave Ice.

It's amazing. Everything is beautiful here. The food is killer and the people are awesome. If you are going to oahu go to haleiwa and hit the food trucks. If you just kinda like thai food hit Opal thai. It's tiny but unbelievable food. We got a couple of rays broiled chix for dinner. Can't wait to try em later. They smell amazballs!

Aloha and welcome to Hawaii. I have been here for years now and sadly, its time to go back to the mainland. I will miss this place, but I am also looking forward to more adventures and seeing what else the world has to offer.

Enjoy your stay, I am sure you will love it here.
