Is there an aftermarket kit to make the hood scoop functional on the TRD sport.

I bet it would be cheaper to find one at a salvage yard or even trade someone w/your hood.

Really? I mean the only time a hood scoop really becomes functional is when it leads to something like a top mounted intercooler or a intake.

He had a CAI and he was bored one week. The made his hood scoop functional and also tried with one of the dummy vents on either side of the grill. Like I said all he had was a few ponies at high speeds. If you are putting in more hardware like that STI (don't forget, these are pick ups, not drifters) I'm not sure how you would do it.

This is the closest to a scoop you will get, and it dosent include the cosmetic sport hood:

And even then, the scoop has to be large enough to be in the air stream. The scoop on the Tacoma rests in a low pressure area of the hood. EVEN IF it was open, and there was a intercooler, or intake under it, air would be pulled from the scoop instead of peing pushed into it.

Damn Toyota designers. Don't even know that their own decoration is only causing trouble.
