Trailer hitch power for bed lights?

    Has anyone tapped into the trailer hitch power adapter as a source for bed lights? Seems to be the easiest and closest.

    Haven't done it, but I think it's a good idea. Tap into the running lights and add a switch so they don't turn on when you don't need them.

    That's how I wired mine. I like it because you can't accidentally leave the lights on. It was very easy.

    i wired my LED bed lights from the taillight wires

    5100s F&R, TSB leaf springs, N-Fab steps, bed lights
    Turn on the ignition and check which wire has power to it. I can't recall which color wire it ended up being. I cut the wire, soldered in a connection for the bed lights and shrink wrapped the splice. All told, it probably took about 10 minutes tops.
