I was wondering ... since car dealers are so fond of selling accessories (and coatings etc.), why do car dealers seem to shy away from offering pickup shells/caps?
... or is my assumption incorrect?

    Thanks,

They do sell those sort of things, but the prices are horrible. I asked when I had bought my Access Cab and they wanted $1040.00(CDN) for a folding tonneau cover. I already knew the price of brand name Tonneau's before I went in there, so I knew they were a rip off. Could get a folding tonneau for under $800.00(CDN). Never buy things from the dealer unless you certainly after to.

I got my canopy through the dealer. They have a working relationship with the local Leer dealer. The one that I got ended up being ~$2800 CAN but the dealer only charged me $2000 for it.

    so, SOME dealers sell/install shells/caps ... others don't bother?

One reason for my asking is that I don't recall seeing 'shelled/capped pickups' on dealer lots?
    ... or, maybe I wasn't paying attention?
