Just curious how long you guys' batteries have lasted in your trucks? I dont abuse mine at all, and I had to replace it today after less than 2 years. Tried jumping it, then driving it around to charge it, but after i got back home and cut it off in the driveway it wouldnt start again.

    Many variables there.

Sitting time, heat, cold, sitting with radio on, draw, all can contribute and its not the same for everyone.

That said, mine lasted about 5yrs.

Central coast (ca) climate, stock stereo, gps, ultragauge, 3 surgeries that kept me from driving for months....never jumped it, and would never trust a fully drained battery unless it was a deep cycle, and even then id be wary (its just how I am).

    YMMV

I still have the stcok battery from 2007.
Stock truck, no add on electronics.
I have my headlights on 90% of the time as well.
I just never turn them off. They turn off when I turn the truck off.
If they get turned off manually on the switch it's becasue Toyota
theoil change places do it for me.

I'm looking for it to go out any day now.
7 years is a long time.

As long as you start it 2-3 days a week it will last however long the battery says its good for.

My 07 factory battery died about 4 months ago without a warning. Shorted a cell me thinks.

Lots of winching, lights, and vibration. Sorry yours died sooner.

Possibly something draining it.... I went through 2 batteries in 6months with my Celica I had. All I could figure was probably an electical issue, but never did find out what.

My celica ate a couple batteries........ turned out that the brake light switch was at fault.

I caught the brake lights on 1 night when it was parked.
