check engine light

so i finally figured out why the check engine light was on, my upper right cat went bad........ and guess what the toyota dealership said they would fix it for free!!!! thank god!! they said it was covered under emissions warranty.

 

Yeah...Isn't that great?? 8 Year/80K emissions warranty saved me from paying for my scion to get a cat replaced.

if warranty didnt cover it i would have gotten the DT long tube headers

How many miles on the cat before it went out?

 

didnt tell me how much it would have cost but they said it was expensive but ill ask them, and it went out at just over 51,000 miles.

 

This exact same thing happened to me , leaving the dealer lot!! Truck had 40k , literally 3 miles away from the dealership the check engine light came on, I took it back and they scanned it told me the first right cat was bad and needed to be replaced, I got it done and the total came to like $981 or something like that, luckily it was all covered under the 80k warranty..
