I recommend calling up softtopper directly. Tell them what happened, and maybe even email them the pictures.

I've gotten great customer service from them when I needed spare parts or had a question about the set-up/configuration.

I did that also. They just emailed me back this morning. They're going to send me some hardware to fix. had a few ppl ask about my softopper now I can tell them this story about the customer service.
