Like the title says, I need a measurement from center hole to center hole of the clamshell that's on the steering wheel column. If anyone could provide me with the measurement that would be fantastic.

    Thank you.

    Could you be more specific?
Just looked for you but not sure what you need.

I looked at the plastic that's wrapped around the steering column behind the steering wheel. Is that the clamshell?

Mine has no visible screws there. I am assuming you are looking for a measurement from one screw to another?

Would like to assist you, need more info.

I'm sorry let me be a bit more specific. If you turn your steering wheel 90* you should be able to see a small phillips head screw, and another one if you turn it the other direction. I need the measurement from the one screw to the other.

Hope that clears things up! If not, I can take a picture.

    Gotcha.

OK...kinda tough because I cant get the tape completely between the steering wheel and the clamshell.

    I'm going with approx. 5.75"

    Hope that helps.

    http://urdusa.com/p1260519003/FlexPod-Gauge-Mount,-Tacoma-2005+/product_info.html

This is what i'm up to. They do not make one of these gauge pod mounts for us first gen Taco guys, so today I measured the distance of the 2 screws behind the steering wheel, and got 5.75" and yours is apparently the same width, meaning that the gauge pod will mount up to my Tacoma!

Edit: I HATE the pillar gauge pods so this was the best alternative.
