    Hello Taco-worlders,

FNG here with a 2006 2-gen standard cab base 5-lugger... going thru the deadly bench-to-bucket seat conversion discussed All Over The Forum but most famously here:
    http://www.tacomaworld.com/forum/te...bout-swapping-2nd-gen-bench-seat-buckets.html

Has anyone dealt with the mismatched seatbelt clasps/holsters thing by replacing the clasps? I got a pair of clasps that fit for ~$4 apiece but don't know whether to disassemble and unspool the belts, and try to thread them on.

Everything says it's risky to work near a belt's explosive SRS charge. Not to mention whether the clasps will thread onto the belts at all. Plus I don't want to un-sew and re-sew belt material.

I grant you this is down in the weeds, but if anybody has experience with the belts I'd be much obliged to hear from you.

    Thanks in advance,
    bneuha
