    It would also cut down on the number of threads titled "4wd light just blinks", "Can I use 4wd on pavement", "Tried to turn in 4wd, pop, thunk, bang, what happened" and of course "4lo doesn't work, just beeps" :rolleyes:

    Toyota is no different than the others when it comes to tires. Since 95% of 4x4s never leave the pavement they put whimpy ATs on them. Try to get the dealer to put some decent tires on it and they tell you to bend over. I have done the straight to tire shop but they give you nothing. I was fortunate once and needed the take offs for my other truck. There was a time when only mudders made me happy. Use to hate BFG ATs.

    I tend to disagree with you there. The tires Toyota puts on most of their models aren't even a good road tire. Of course, I'm referring to the Dunlop Grantreks... They are the worst OEM tire I've ever had on any vehicle I've owned. I liked the Bridgestone Dueler H/T's though and the Rugged Trails are decent enough for what they are.
