BFG AT tires I've had mine for 2 years now and no complaints. I don't offroad though but they are more quiet on the road than i was expecting. Just keep checking the balance and rotate every 7-8k miles and you'll be good.........

I only allowed 3k on my stock tires and just got 265/70 and have no regrets. Its been a while since I had them on any truck but wanted a trusted all terrain tire. Think about it, why has the BFG AT had the same tread design for so long, probably 15 years now. Probably some sort of reasoning behind that. I have seen numerous tire companies have the same all terrain tire for a while but tread design has changed dramatically over the years.
Make sure you specify what load range you want as well, they accidentally put one load range E on mine and had to take it back to match the other 3. Also, kinda nice that you can get them in different load ranges in close to stock sizes.

I have had them on for 2k miles now and not a complaint. Good in the mud and rain and ride quiet on the highway. I like the tread pattern as well.

Try 30+ years on the tread design. I had them on my 1981 F150. Came from the factory. They are a decent all around sand, rock, snow tire. Suck in the mud. Of course with the black sticky gumbo around here most do. I took them off that F150 after having 3 flats in one weekend. I ordered new wheels and tires from Desert Rat. Flats were a good excuse to get what I really wanted and that was some nylon belted Buckshot mudders. Never had another flat. Now I have the BFGs again more than 30 years later. Since I now run mostly rocks and catcus I will keep these until used up and get some Duratracs.

I saw maybe 1mpg so far loss in going to 265/70/17 from the stock dunlops. Well worth the mpg loss for the traction and look of them.

Had mine for almost 20K and still look brand new. Great traction in the rain. Had them aired up to 50 psi and the ride was a little rough, took them down to 40 psi and the ride is much better. Lost about 3 mpgs going from stock Dunflops P245/75/16 to LT265/75/16, but I wouldn't trade them for nothing.

I did not notice any mpg drop from 265/70 to 265/75 Duratracs. Stay with load range C and you will not. Go to Es and you probably will. You will add 20 lbs per axle of unsprung weight.

I know a lot of people really like the BFG ATs... I dont, but that just my opinion. But thats what your looking for right? Opinions on the tire.

I ran the BFG ATs on my 85 yota, and they were great. My dad has always run them and he only drives pre '90 yotas. Has like four of em.

I put a set on my Ranger (dont hate, this is about the tire not the truck). They wore weird, cupping like crazy (rotated and balanced every 5k, suspension and alignment was fine) and rode like crap (30 psi front, 28 rear)... But I did get almost 60 K out of them and they got better mpg than the Duratracs... They worked great in the desert, but sucked anytime I went near the snow. I noticed someone said there is a snow rated one? Mine had the mountain with snowflake emblem on them, but they still sucked.

So I switched to Duratracs... Both those and my BFGS were 31X10.50 on a 15X8. The Duratracs were a little lighter I think, wore better, rode smoother, but made a bit more noise than the BFGs. I liked the Duratracs way more, but it doesnt sound like you are having the same luck with em.... IMO the Duratracs gripped way better in the sand, snow, wet and dry pavement. But they were a softer tire. Maybe the BFGs just didnt like being on a Ranger... who knows.

Right now im still runnin the stock BFG rugged trails on my Taco, and will be for a long time since its a more street friendly tire, I get free tires for life from the dealer as long as I own the truck, and its purely a DD with limited off road usage.

Just my 2cents... take it as you may.

I'm currently running the 265-75-16 BF Goodrich AT with about 37,000 miles on them. They slip now after a light rain coming off a stop but I drive a 6spd manual so.... that being said plenty of tread left. I've ran these tires on a S-10 and a F-150 clearly a great tire I would trust over any other AT brand. I had BF Goodrich Mud Terrain's in the past and if 80% of your driving will be on the road don't get MT. As for MPG I'm getting high 15's almost 16 and that's not giving a crap about driving habits. Thinking about going stock tire size with BF Goodrich AT and hoping for 17-18 city MPG. The BF Goodrich AT IMHOP is such a great tire I don't want to risk another 800 bucks on 4 tires that won't match up to the quality of off and on road performance of the BF Goodrich AT.

had a 2004 gmc canyon z71 with bfg at's for 30,000 miles. tires wore great and had pretty good traction. just traded for 2013 DCSB TRD sport with bridgestone duelers. wanted to put bfg's on same day I traded but my tire dealer would only give $20 ea on trade. guess i'll run these for now.

Always hot AUX plug. Wet Okole's. 33" tires.
    Going to revive this.

I have been trying to decide what tires to get on my 2008 Tacoma. I had a 2004 Colorado with the BFG All Terrain t/a KO's. I loved those tires. I got General grabber at2's to replace them. I have been doing tons of research on the BFG's because I personally loved them, but got a little better look and snow traction outta my BFG's. Some people have been giving them good reviews some have been hating them.

    Maybe this is why...

    http://www.expeditionportal.com/forum/archive/index.php/t-62458.html?

I was at tirerack.com and noticed these different tires. Both listed as BFG All Terrain T/A KO

I love my AT's 95% of the time. I had them on my old Toyota and put no miles on them before the timing chain got slappy.

I made it 843 miles on this truck before I swapped them for the ATs. The ONLY time I dislike mine is in the wet with the ridiculously touchy Off-Road brakes. Since on dry pavement you can smash your head against the steering wheel with very little effort, it's amazing how easy it is to engage ABS in the wet.

Otherwise, they're awesome. It's the lettering, I'm not going to lie. It makes the tire for me (runs and hides).

They're quite quiet for what they are IMHO. Granted, my car has a set of summer tires that are stupid loud that almost ruin the driving experience for me, so comparably my truck is silent.

    Another A/T fan here.
Haven't put them on the Tacoma yet, but I will.
I've had A/T's on my Fords, Chebbys, and GMC's for the last 30 years with no problems. I would get a good 65-70k on them as long as I rotated them.

I've got 19,500 on my 2011 with the BFG All Terrains (4x4 Off Road pkg double-cab) - I love the tires, I rotate them and drive city and some highway. I'd put them back on in a minute.

I'm on my forth set and I have absolutely no complaints. However, I did have one set that seemed to wear substantially faster then the others. BFG/Discount Tire comp'd me on the next set though, as I had them doing all the rotations on schedule, so there was a good paper trail indicating the unusually fast wear. Overall, great tire!

Im running 35'' bfg a/t. Super quiet on the highway, handles nice and good mpg. Offroad is good as well when aired down. Its no m/t performance offroad but with the bigger size, it makes up for it. On road performance was very important to me thats why I picked this but Ill probably try dunlops or duratracs once these are worn. These are my second set.
