Just wanted to let everyone know I just accomplished this procedure on my 2013 Tacoma and it worked like a champ! Very simple!

I ended up making the canister to hold the sensors and pressurized it. It doesn't get that cold here so about once a year re pump it up. I keep it under the rear seat.

well the issue is that I dont even have the sensors when I bought the truck they never had them and i dont need them nor want them but would like to get rid of the light. I went ahead and tried this and even tore it back apart and double checked and it was all good and done correct.

do you have to reset the tpms sensor once you have spliced the harness or will it automatically remove the light its self ?

I don't understand why I can't get to work I even tried resetting it like mentioned before but that didn't work . The light didn't even flash like it should .

Just did this to mine. Works perfectly! I had tried the pipe method but I had to refill it every few days. Couldn't find a leak anywhere.

Completed! @Vigo Thanks for figuring this out! Everything works as it should and I really didn't want to carry around a PVC tube in my truck. This mod is definitely better than that.

I did this three days ago and still no light. Only difference was that my TPMS box on my 2011 was brown and not blue as shown. Great info!!

I have a '15 OR with the stock alloy wheels and I'm getting Method Double Standards in a couple weeks. Will the stock sensors work on the Method wheels without modifications?

Did this tonight on my 2013 double cab. So far, I think it worked. Took me a while to do though cause I couldn't fit my hands in there too well, and there isn't much slack on the wiring harness. Before you tear into it, make sure you have the proper inline wire tap, or a variety pack handy. I didn't, and wound up having to Jerry-rig it.

Great write-up OP, thank you for the info!
