Does anyone have one of these? If so, are they any good? You use them in conjunction with your camper shell. They allow you to leave your tailgate down and extend the bed area for sleeping. I have a short bed, so I can't really sleep in mine.

I think it looks cool. I have a short bed and I was thinking of going to a marine canvass store and see if they could make me something. But I think I like this better.

This is the only one I have been able to find. I'm wondering if anyone knows of another place that sells these.

I have one and I love it, using it tomorrow night, so far it has worked great, gives me the extra room in the short bed and keeps me off the ground when in places I do not wish to use a tent.

It goes on in about 2 minutes or less!

I toss a blanket over the top of my shell to minimize scratches, that is what the tassels are hanging over the enterance, this was the first time I set it up in my driveway. Folds up super small and I just keep it in the truck along with my air mat that also folds up small. I hope this helps!

I wonder how hard it would be to rig it up on a Stoftopper?

The top back of the tent is held up by the door of the shell. The corners of the door slip into pockets on the tent to create the roof area near the opening. So unless your Softtopper door is rigid and will stay open on it's own, it won't work. I guess you could rig up something to prop the door open so that it would work.

Pretty Sweet for the price! I just spent a pile of money and got a Flippac. It is luxurious but quite pricey.

Is that meant to stay on or do you remove it when it is not in use. Looks cool!

They stay on and act like a regular camper shell when not in use. Lots of folks on Expeditionportal.com like them; see also tacodocs posts.

I'd get one but I use my roof rack too much.

That's what I've been wondering. Maybe rig up some kind of folding rack. I like the idea of using PVC. It's light and easy to work with. I'm trying to figure out a good way to fix it into place.
