I just bought a 2013 TSS Taco. I love everything about it. But the fact that it was built on June 8 and sounds like it already has an exhaust leak. Every time I take off it sounds like my taco is farting. I crawled under it but couldn't find any obvious signs, but I did find a few dark spots circled by a sharpie where the headers meet. Looked almost like JB weld to me. My buddy has a 2012 and said his did the same thing so he took it to the dealership and they said it was normal. That was when we were in Germany tho so I'm too confident in a german mechanic working on a truck. Has anyone else heard of brand new tacos with this problem?

We do have noisy engines but......

Does the sound go away once the engine is up to temp? Or at least get more quiet?

I thought the same thing...... But it never shut up.

Then when I put headers on, I took a good look and seen no scorch marks.

I think I know what you are talking about.

The sound should be coming from around the cats. Mine does it too, but every taco I heard sounds like that.

Go to the dealership and ask them if you can sit in another taco so you can see if it does the same thing. That's what my dealership let me do and the other taco sounded the same.

It goes away after its warmed up or i hit high rpm's so i thought it was the seal right behind the cat where the pipe connects, just needing to be broken in. I've only put 1100 miles on it so I think I'm just over analyzing every little sound haha. Im putting new exhaust on it anyway but just wanted to see if it was normal. Thinkin about magnaflows Off road pro series cat back with the turn down before the rear axel or just goin with TRD. I know TRD is good but does anyone have experience with the magnaflow? Thanks guys
