Would it be stupid to put a TRD bedside decal on a non-TRD

when I was first in the market for a truck I went and looked at an 06 access cab 4x4 manual which was supposedly a TRD but I noticed that it wasn't and someone just put the stickers on. That would have REALLY pissed me off had I bought the truck and only realized afterwards that it wasn't, so my vote goes to NO because if you sell it, then someone less informed will think it's a TRD model and buy it and get less than they think.

 

Took my Decal's off the day I bought the truck right in front of the salesman. He said "That's a $75.00 sticker you can't do that" I laughed and said "watch this." I think they look Gay!! I should have saved them for you!!!

IMO that's a poser move - don't do it. But dude, it's your truck. You can paint it lime green with pink dots if it makes you happy.

I like the way my custom TRD decal looks on my truck. I say if YOU like it, go for it. It's your truck.

 

The only reason I would is to get one of the Zombie Response Unit custom stickers. Those are pretty sick

 

I say go for it, as long you don't try to sell it as one, does it really matter? I intend to get some custom TRD ones for my base model, why not right?

 

Just get a trd key chain so you can say you have TRD.

I didn't vote cause its your truck and no opinion is right or wrong.. but if you have a sr5 I would get one of those stickers.. I mean its rare.. unlike the trd stickers..

Just as stupid as putting lexus badges on I guess. You could throw a cute little "satan inside" logo on there too. Why not put a set of spinning hubcaps on as well, not spinning rims, just spinning hubcaps. Then top it off with some color changing underglow that flashes to the beat of your 2 12" MTXs. Then ghost ride the whip down main street shufllin' shufflin'. That would be sick.

I took the stickers off of mine. I did not like the way they looked and figured they would get worse with age, get more difficult to remove, and leave a shadow when the paint faded some and I took them off then. But like others have said, it is your truck. Do what YOU like. It doesn't matter what other people think or like.
