For me turning and articulating killed me, going fast through whoops straight ahead was no problem, but getting in a bind over an obstacle and i fight my all-pro bumper and the firewall

that'll be quite the change. the only reason i'm able to tolerate stock gears is because i've gone up in small increments, so i realyl don't notice the power loss untill i hop in someone elses truck. made the mistake of taking a ride in memario's supercharged truck the other week. it'll be interesting to see the such a drastic change all at once though.

you could, but unless you are going to 35s purely for looks, you want all of the travel you can get. no garantee a slight limit in travel would completely solve the problem anyway

Thanks Pete. Your truck is coming out good.

I know im running the 2'' LT but with the stock wheels im not rubbing that much. The offset and width of the wheel works really good. I did have to trim the chaos fab spindle gusset to make everything fit with the stock wheels. I only had to cut a little of the body mount for full bump at lock, and the fire wall was just a little bit of beating flat.

Cut as much as you can off the body mount up front, and save the headache of having to do it again later. This is before I 'boxed' it. I actually used 3" diameter pipe to box it up and maintain a small profile.

Ok - here is a crappy shot. And ignore the welds! My POS HF welder was crapping out on me. I'll fix it once I get a real welder :/

Click the pic in my sig for the build page. It's on page 3.

Will do. Where is the shop?

Yep. .032 Aluminum. Still need to finish, but it actually did 3 things:
    1. covered the CAI hole
    2. strengthened the fender itself (this wasn't that big a deal, but helps when I lean on it when under the hood.
    3. The tabs on the edges can be bent out against the flare, making the flare more rigid.
