So I got a smart phone and the interior charger never worked so I look at owners manual and it is a 100 amp fuse number 35. I look in fuse book and it isn't even there. So I go to the Toyota dealer and order the fuse and put it in and it is real loose. The other fuses fit tight. This one just falls in, but it looks like the right size. I tried pushing the prongs in and it still doesn't work. I was thinking should I push prongs out a bit? This is frustrating, Any suggestions. I am calling dealer tomorrow to bitch.

100 amp? Did you type an extra 0? I have never seen a 100a DC.

Also, outlets are only powered with key on. Pretty stupid if you ask me.

Thanks for the response. I did start it up the engine and it never worked. It is a 100 amp fuse. It looks like this a standard plug in and I notice some have a half circle notch on the bottom of the 2 sides, I wonder if I got the wrong fuse. If that makes any sense. lol

I just searched some more and it looks like you need to bolt it in with a nut and take out the fuse box. I thought you just plugged in a fuse. I am calling dealer tomorrow and they will be doing it for free since it never came with a fuse.

The only 100A fuse is the bolted-in ALT fuse. The power point /cig fuse should be in the dash fuse panel and be a 10A ATM type fuse.

I just ran out to my truck and got my owners manual. It says location 34 fuse- AC SKT ampere-100A circuit- Cigarette lighter, power outlets.

Oh crap there is a second in dash box, I didn't go that far in the manual WTF. so do I even need that 100 amp fuse. I am even more confused now. That is probably why there never was a 100 amp in the number 34 by the battery.

Thanks everybody for the help, as you can tell I am not a mechanic.

Well I replaced the 15 amp fuse that is under the dash and it works great now. Anybody know why the 100 amp fuse under the hood is marked cigarette lighter power outlets. I know some Tacomas not mine has a power outlet in the box maybe they use the 100 amp under hood fuse, would make sense why my truck never had one in it. Oh well it is working now. Thanks everybody.

My bad, thought it was 10A and in the dash panel, glad you got it figured out. Your theory makes sense regarding the 100A.

I was going to ask how many amps our lighter outlets were. Looks like 15 amps. Am considering buying a 12v compressor and they require 15 amp outlets. Searching actually works sometimes!

The 100 amp may be for a 12v to 120 v DC to AC converter, if you wanted to install one.
