    front coils squeek?

technically i think all grease etc is bad for rubber bushings..

But i have sprayed white lithium on lots of squeeking junk and have never had a problem lol

OME w/Dakars is what I'm think... I'm not having any squeaks that I can hear. I work in the miming industry... Stays pretty dirty compared to typical use. Is this a major type sqeeeelll or a truck squeak thing y'all are talkin about? I flex it all the way out every other day, a popping noise is heard pretty much every time . Is this normal at 15k miles? How are people on here pushing 20 mpg, my fuelly reports me at 14.5...my best was 18 with 1st tank, best after has been 17...

What's up with Toyota and these lousy leaf spring setups? I did the TSB on my 2011 and even these are lousy.

OP don't give up calling other dealers and the regional toyota rep.

I gave up on dealerships leaf fix after reading post after post that it still will b weak and sagging... It's more about fix it once and b done. A co worker got an access cab baja, with same tires, it set 2.5 inch higher than my OR, not to mention my sag in the back... It Btm out so hard at times I figured I'd have something break by now... U can let the tailgate down and push down with one finger and the movement is crazy to far for 4x4 OR, that is advertised to b bad to the bone tough!!

    Can ya spell Tonneau
White Lithium is just general purpose. It won't eat the rubber or poly bushing or seals. The white is from zinc that will turn dark over time. Hence the white grease is "visible" new grease.
Grease in general wont harm anything. Solvents like Acetone, etc & the like do and are can be a problem. They are widely found in sprays. Always check the applications. Even the "retched" WD40 has its good uses.

    I used an add-a-leaf

first set were fabtech soft rides and i broke one

then i gave these a try
    http://www.ebay.com/itm/1995-2011-T...fits=Model:Tacoma&hash=item3a6e43d757&vxp=mtr

and i am very happy with them.

Eventually i will buy dakar's or some other leaf pack.

From what i understand the TSB leaf is the one the baja package came with stock

    yes it would :)

i was actually thinking "unbreakable" nylon

i cant think of the actual compound name but it is what we use for a construction tool that my grandfather invented and my family sells.

I was actually thinking of cutting a piece from one of the tools because its free to me, and the only reason i have not done it is like you mentioned have not figured out a good way to keep it in place.

It is machinable, but similar to abs or other forms of non porous plastic/nylon it is not really glue friendly

Also have some earlier prototype tools that were made of polypropolene (trash bag, plastic bottles etc) but it is more brittle than the nylon and i think it would deform with the rubbing force more over time

I was debating drilling a small hole and using a peg on the nylon, the springs never come completely apart and the nylon is both very strong and not very brittle so i believe it will hold up.

And the tools im thinking of robbing material from are about $1 each and are disposable.

More of a proof of concept, temp step before i would buy some stock material and make a better version deal. :)

Half my posts here are me bitching about MY TOTALLY INADEQUATE FACTORY LEAF SPRINGS. Brand new 2013, no less. It's the only thing I don't like about the truck, and it is fucking ridiculous. Squeaks I don't care about - my old Nissan squeaked like a rat being eaten by a snake - but I could put a thousand pounds of stone flooring in the back of my Nissan and that would just about level it out. If I did that to my Taco I'd destroy the rear suspension. A 200 pound shell and me in the back and I can use my headlights to see critters up in the trees. It's ridiculous, and the factory "fixes" are even more ridiculous, so I'm just going to bite the bullet and find a good pack and find someone here in San Diego to install them. If anyone knows anyone good in SD who does this sort of thing shoot me a PM.
