Hi TW just wanted to see what the majority has here. I have one custom made from a guy on one of the 4runner forums got it as a gift. Is it nessary? I like the fact if I might hit something were the E-locker is it won't cost me $600 to replace it from toyota.
Let me know what you guys have or not.

    Thanks,

    Brett

I like how mine covers the side of the motor a little bit more than the others. It's a home bulld from a good guy on the 4 runner forums .

    Thanks,

    Brett

I bought one, and even though my Taco doesn't see much offroad all it takes is a rock to kick up and take out the motor, better safe than sorry.

    Cheap insurance in my mind.

X2 same here not much offroad for me but I just could afford a $600 motor if I did actually hit it on a branch, rock or something .:)

    Thanks,

I've read some about these sometimes puncturing gas tanks. Is there a brand that works well with the Tacoma that doesn't have that possibility?

How would the guard on the third member come up and puncture the gas tank through the skid plate?
