First - I did so some searching on the forum, but haven't found quite what I need.

My 2007 Access Cab Pre-Runner (2wd) needs new shocks. The original Bilsteins were toast around 45 kilomiles.

The ride and handling of the Billies that came with the truck suited me well - and I don't plan on lifting the truck. The truck gets highway and dirt road miles, but nothing too off-roady (I have a Steyr-Puch Pinzgauer for that.) I would not mind if the ride was a bit firmer - but I don't think I want softer.

Should I just replace with new Bilsteins? Which Bilsteins should I get?

Thanks in advance, and like I said: I did search but the hits I was getting concerned new shocks for lifted tacos etc., so it didn't help me much.

If you're referring "new Bilsteins" with 5100s, then technically you can still buy them. You can have it set at the lowest notch and have 0" lift with factory coils.

However, it sounds like you're pretty happy with TRD suspension. I would stick to that. There are a ton of people selling their "almost brand new" TRD suspenion parts for a cheap price.
