Is it just me, or does the rearview mirror sit right in my way? I feel like im always looking around it!

Yeah I thought the same thing when I got my first Taco. You get used to it pretty quick.

I have seen around here a mod that someone came about with an extended adapter to make it ride higher. Personally, I would just remove the base from windshield and move it higher up. I had a Dodge Dakota that had the same issue, so I got used to it, so it does not bother me as much, but if the base ever falls like in so many vehicles, then I would take the opportunity to glue it higher up.

That's probably because the roof/headliner is obstructing your view...

I'm 6'2" and I can't imagine that it isn't in your way, it was in my way so I bought the extention, one of the best mods so far.

I can see the road out to the horizon. I don't need to see the sky.

When I had my '05 Access cab SR5 (non-preRunner) I didn't really have an issue, but with my '10 PreRunner it bothered me. With ImMrYo's bracket it is much better imo. BTW I am 6'4''.

I think it wasnt an issue with my first truck because the truck was lower making the mirror appear higher up. With the new truck that sits higher it blocked much of the road.

Bench seats (60/40) in the '05?
The buckets may seat you higher, I can see that creating an issue.

I actually have more "lap" room in my Tacoma than in my '95 Suburban.

But between the 5-lug and 6-lug... with the 5-lug sitting lower, seems you would be looking "up" more than in a 6-lug.
