So I just bought a new quad and I wanted to stand my GF's quad and mine up in the bed of a stock 2010 TRD DC. Wanted to use the side rails to strap it in but to get it tight enough it would start to put a lot of tension on the rail system. The only 2 hard mounts in the bed are the 2 by the tail gate. Has anyone done this yet or is there any other strap features i'm missing with the exception of getting a ladder rack? Thanks.

I know this is of no help at the moment, but I would buy a small trailer to haul your toys. I've seen spare tire mounts do some serious damage to the bedside when mounted on the bedrails. So Im assuming the repeated stress to the rails would result in some damage.

I bought a set of d rings like the back 2, a little dremeling and they slipped right on the factory bolts, and work great.

The rail system on these trucks is a joke when it comes to heavy items.. Trust them like u would a possessed elephant

I agree with Justus, get some d-rings on the two front bolts of the bed. They help a lot with loads up front.

they are also going to be kinda hard to use with an ATV. atv will probably roll over them.

I was thinking of that as well, sounds like a pretty legit way. probably go this route and then get some money to pick up a set of those B.A.M.F.. Thanks

I have a crf150r and they hold it down really well, ratchet it down and you can’t see any flex from them or the bed rail it self.

Trying to put 2 full sized quads in the back of a Tacoma is a recipe for diasaster no matter how you attempt it. Trailer or two trips.

Basically...long bed or short, it won't really work too well...
