I am going to get a 6 inch suspension lift on my 2012 Tacoma. However, I am interested in what size wheels are tires would look and function the best. Any info will be greatly appreciated!

Mostly city driving but I do like to do a small amount of off roading on the weekends. But nothing too extreme.

4" rear block? Say hello to axle wrap and goodbye to spring life.

Mostly because it is true. The additional leverage of the block causes the axle to twist (wrap). This can cause shuddering under acceleration and dramatically shortens the life of the spring pack.

So what would be your suggestion for a lift kit then? Or just not one at all?

I'm not a huge fan of drop bracket lifts at all. They accomplish little, except allow for the installation of larger tires. Ground clearance suffers due to the new crossmember and you have to cut into the frame (removing the stock crossmember) for installation.

I suppose, if you have your heart set on one, you should look at Fabtech or Procomp. Rough Country is generally not thought of as a decent kit.

For the rear, look for something with a full leaf pack. you will probably still need a small lift block, but try to to go over 2".
