Trailer Brake Options??

    I just recently purchased a 14ft camper trailer weighing 2400 lbs. I have a 2011 double cab short bed off road package. Not sure if it has the tow package... How do I tell? Coming home with trailer I didn't have any problems coming down hills but occasionally I will be towing over 5000lbs and would like to purchase a brake control for my truck. Was wondering what works best for the TW memeber or any suggestions?
