    Hey guys,

After driving my Taco for a few miles to heat up the brakes (I assume this is what's happening)

I hit the brakes and it make a fluid compression sound. It's annoying and loud. Anyone else have this?

It doesn't matter if i lightly hit the brakes, or I slam them. Same sound.

    thanks

Too many to list, and I've probably forgotten a bunch.
Typical, at least if you have the hydraulic booster (as opposed to vacuum booster) in your Tacoma. Mine has done it since day one. I'm not sure what's going on when that happens (pressurizing or pressure-relief or something else).

I used to look at my '85 CJ7 as a 'simple' vehicle. Now I miss the relatively 'simplicity' of my 1st gen Tacoma, compared to my 2nd gen. :)

I have this sound too, but curious if anyone else's brakes have a funky feel associated with the sound?

On my 2013 Off Road, my brakes feel "notchy" from time to time. When I push the pedal in I feel some clicking, some times harder than others. Doesn't happen all the time and sometimes it's much more noticeable than others. Curious if this is another effect of the hydraulic boost on the Off Road or if this is something different. The truck is new with 1,000 miles.

    Thanks for any insight.

The fluid compression sound is normal. It should also make a slight sound when you let up on the brake. There is nothing you can do about it. If you find that annoying just wait until you use the down hill assist. The systems that these trucks have might have some sound and feel issues but they work and are more reliable then most on the market.

Just bought a used 2012 Off-Road and am experiencing the same issues. A squeaking/squishing sound when the brakes are first applied and a non consistent clicking while braking. Is this still considered normal?
