Touch up bed paint for 2nd generation

has anyone bought or found paint that matches the bed paint for doing touch up. does the bed liner already have the wrinkle finish in the material or does the paint give it that look

 

The bed isn't painted....

It's all composite plastic like substance.....

just get an OEM rubber bed mat and call it a day. Prevents stuff from sliding around too!

 

I know its smc material just like my Yamaha waverunners but my waverunners are painted

 

not painted. if anything.. whatever was in your truck bed.. probably rubbed paint off onto the bed.

 

I have drilled thru the bed a few different times... ALL BLACK. lol

 

I know my bed is definitely tough I'm just getting tired of all the marks and scratches that I am putting in it and I want to paint it or something to make it look good again

Leave it alone, or clean it up with Armorall and watch things slide around even more.

Just get the rubber bed mat and be done.

 

I put a decent gouge in my tailgate liner hat I filled with epoxy. Never thought to paint over it.

If your truck bed is in perfect shape you should have bought a Camry.

 

Let me use your truck for a week and painting the bed will be the least if your problems

 

you guys are totally right about using it like a truck that is why I got it. I did put a mat in it when I got it new. my first generation Tacoma I beat it up really good and i said when I got this one I would try to take good care of it lol

 

But... its a truck bed.

 

So take care of it... keeping the truck bed clean and detailed isn't even within the first 10 pages of things you should do to properly care for a vehicle. I like keeping my truck nice and clean but I just don't see the point in detailing the truck bed. Keep the body looking nice, let the bed do what it will.

 

sooo, if you really want to keep it looking good, go get it Line-x'd or whatever that stuff is called, from what it sounds like that stuff is indestructible. and it looks nice too
