Each time I rotate my tires I feel my steering vibrate at around 55-60mph. Vibration stops pass 60 mph. Toyota dealership tells me I need Hubcentric rings 4wheelpar?s store tells me I need to buy to correct lug Nuts. Of course stock lug nuts does not fit aftermarket wheels Dick Cepek DC2 17x9 on terra grappler 285/70-17 store that I bought tires used lug nuts that fits new wheels. My question do I need new lug nuts or buy hub centric rings....

BUCKLE UP! It makes it harder for Aliens to pull you out of your Truck.
My center caps double as hub centric rings. 106 mm I think. You need hub rings.

Are you using acorn style lug nuts. That should be all you need?

Hey people, well I purchased 4 hub centric rings from Motorsport tech in Neveda (775)351-1000. It did the trick no vibration at all, at any speed.

Are hub centric rings applicable for OEM wheels? I have the alloy sport wheels and am experiencing vibration 45 - 60 mph. At 65 the vibration goes away. Could it be the wheels and not a drive shaft issue?

No they don't work with oem. These are specifically for filling a gap between 106mm and the size of your new wheels hub. The stock wheels will fit snuggly around the hub.

I have sport wheels and stock susp prerunner. I don't get any vibes with those wheels.

How do you describe the vibe? Is it something that effects the driving of the car like is it shimmying down the road or is it more like a vibe that rattles your change?

Hub rings are needed because after market wheels are made to fit all types of vehicles. They will lessen the gap and give a more hub centric fitment. Even with rings you'll get some vibration and any vibration is BAD. As long as you're cool with brakes, rotors, suspension and other parts wearing out faster, then keep them after markets on.

Its a little bit like a tire that is out of round that you feel through the steering wheel. I think it is a drive shaft issue. Saw this thread thought it was worth checking.
