As title says. I get bad vibrations when breaking harder (though not "hard") and when accelerating fast (not petal to the floor). Side note, humming when accelerating over 60 mph. I'm going to the mechanic sooner rather than later but I don't want to be going in blind.

    Thanks for the help

Do you 'hear' or 'feel' the vibration? And WHERE does it appear to be coming from.

Can be a lot of different things.... How long has this been happening?

Rotate your tires and see if it changes, could be a tire balancing issue. Look at each of your wheels/tires and look for evidence that a wheel weight might have come off.

When was the last time you lubricated your driveshafts/ujoints?

Is it an automatic? My last 05 double cab was an auto and always had a vibration around 60 that bugged the crap out of me. After trying a bunch of things I never could figure out the cause. It shook like it warped rotors slowing down fast too. But it was the driveline and not the brakes causing it. After a while I figured it was normal as a lot of other people complained about it too. However I just got a nearly identical 05 double cab with similar miles on it and it doesn't do either. Smooth as can be. Odd.

It's been happening for about a week now. I haven't loss any of my tire weights so I know I good on that front. The breaking and accelerating is defiantly more of a "feel". The best way I can describe the accelerating is when you have the diff locker on and try to turn:eek: The braking damn near shakes the car though it feels like its coming from the front. The issues going over 60 is much more of a new noise than a new feeling.

side note just got one of my U joints replaced because it had gone bad, think it could be the same problem?

That new u-joint may not have been installed properly. I would pull the driveshaft out and move it around. Any stiff spots or play in the joints could cause what you're feeling. You really can't get a feel for a bad joint (unless it's totally smoked) with the driveshaft on the truck.

    Recent tire rotation?

Improper technique can screw up rotors.

Could you explain? I got new tires put on the truck in November, and have since gained a break shudder. Could the tire shop have messed up my rotors?

Sorry for the thread revival, but I'm a search vise a new thread kinda guy.

Did you ever figure out what it was. My truck is at 122k and started vibration when under moderate acceleration and braking.

I never had any issues....I was just mentioning some 'troubleshooting' tips to try and diagnose yourself.
