Is the 2012+ Hood Different?

I know the headlight and grill is...but is the hood also different cut?

Wrong information. The '05-'11 hood doesn't line up with '12+ headlight and grille. As far as I know, the same fitment problem would result if you try to install a '12 hood on a '05-'11 (if for some reason you want a smaller skewp or something ).

I was very surprised Toyota went through the expense of reworking the hood stamping die, but there it is.

 

Huh, I misspoke. I didn't think it was redesigned that way.

 

I have a 2011 Tacoma ...currently working on the front end conversion/swap to a 2012. i will post all of the details if it works. i hope it does, since i already bought most of the parts. haha

thats funny only duct tape i use was to prevent damage buddy.
