Do you need to change your brake fluid or power steering fluid ever?

Brake fluid most definitely. Brake fluid is hygroscopic meaning that it absorbs water. Over time the brake fluid deteriorates.

One can never have too many light bars.
I change my power steering fluid every 30K. If you don't every change it then it will begin to chunk up and clog the power steering pump and it could get real expensive

I change brake fluid every two years. It's pretty easy, I use a motive products pressure bleeder. Takes me about one hour to do. I do this maintenance on a Porsche 911 so doing it on this truck should be a piece of cake. I think I might need a new adapter for the Motive device for the Taco, but no big deal.

I have not checked for the Taco if it's available, but for the Porsche, I alternate between Gold and Blue dyed brake fluid. This way you know when it's fully flushed.

I do the Power Steering on a 30K schedule on all my vehicles. living in Florida, we get a really long hot season an high humidity. I might be over doing it, but what the heck, I've only once had one PS problem and that was a leaking hose on a 9 year old RX7 with 138K miles.
