My drivers side recoil is slow too. I hope the recall fixes this.

It has helped some. We are only allowed 1/2 turn leeway. It's all about over extending the spring at full pull.

Had this taken care of on my 2011. *Something to watch out for!

Two weeks ago I had the recall work performed on my truck, it was done in a few hours, went to pick it up, and drove it home. The next day when I went to open the driver side access door the handle stuck!
When the door panel was put back on there was so much slop that the handle was moving the door panel instead of the door panel staying stationary and springing backward like it should.
Went back to the dealership this last weekend for them to tell me "This is really common after we perform this repair" But it was fixable.
I don't understand how it could be a "common problem", but be easily fixed. Everything is working properly now, just check the access door operation before you drive home.

    not common.
never had one do this so far and ive done a ton.
they forgot to resecure something or a clip fell out of the panel and got stuck in the mech.
i always double check operation so it shouldnt leave like that.. :(

What has to be taken off for this work to be done? Since I have to take the truck in to figure out why a rear-end crash has left my SRS Warning light to remain on, I might as well inquire about this. Still would love to know why my SRS light wont' go off after being ass-ended.

Rear door panels removed and belt assemblies removed. Retainer bolts replaced and new recoil springs installed. Assemblies reinstalled in door and door panels put on.
As far as the srs light. Could be anything.. System scan is necessary.
