The next time someone tells you don't buy a foreign car, consider this:

Toyota is the seventh largest company in the world and the second largest manufacturer of automobiles, with the highest-production facility of any non-domestic automaker in the United States.

Operating for 56 years in the USA, Toyota’s investment in the U.S. is valued at more than $19.5 billion and the company created 365,000 jobs in the United States, along with the creation of 2,000 new jobs at their Mississippi plant.

During 2012 Toyota added 1,300 new jobs and an additional investment of over $1.5 billion in the U.S., spending $1 million on R&D every hour.

Toyota has also contributed $700 million in philanthropic contributions.

Toyota has 10 plants in the USA, including 1500 Toyota, Scion and Lexus dealers.

LOL! You can try, but somehow I don't think it will work.

Nice wheels, I like the meet at the front door pic, and if I ever get out that way, I'll avoid the parking lots, water or both!

You might also add as a side note that our "Jap crap", as the domestic only types so intelligently put it, will actually last a few thousand miles . . .

...not to mention all the people that work the docks & receiving areas at the ports of entry, the people that install your "port installed options", etc. Not necessarily Toyota employees but still have jobs due to "foreign cars".

To be clear, Obama wasn't the only politician involved in the GM bailout. http://money.cnn.com/2008/12/19/news/companies/auto_crisis/

I am glad that most of us can agree, however, that Toyota has contributed much to our North American economy, if not much of the world's economy in general.

    Carry on.

Argue what point? That GM vehicles are of poor quality? Keep in mind I've owned 4 in my lifetime and all 4 gave me problems. That's not coincidence, that's piss poor quality. My 3 Toyota vehicles have never give me a seconds trouble. That's not luck either.
