Came from a 2010 Jeep Grand Cherokee just a couple of days ago. I honestly haven't missed it.

The Tacoma may be dated but I would rather have a proven solid platform than a problematic piece of american junk from GM or Fiat

I never really did much with the dealers till I bought this truck..most of the GM cars I had were 8 yrs old or more, yet they'd run forever. I'm supposed to believe that needing $5000 of engine work at 78K on a commuter vehicle that's well maintained is "normal" and that they don't even feel the need to give me a cheap rental car while they fix their mistake and faulty product for 2 weeks.

And yes the "buy American" lost steam forever ago. After I saw my wife get $10k for her 96 with the frame rot I said if I ever bought foreign it would be a Toyota. GM just gave me a nice push..and lost me plus my parents who were ready to buy a new Malibu :)

After the GM rep told me that there's no way possible the dealer was unaware of the warranty and agreed that I was lied to, but yet he feels it best to stick with his people, I told him that now I know why they got in so much hot water and that they should have been let to fail.
