Secret 2013 tip?

Maybe I'm the only one who never knew this, but if you have a 2013, with the backup camera display in the rearview, you can hold down the auto-dimming power button and a menu will display. You can change the temperature colors and compass functions. I could be an idiot for not knowing this, but there has to be more people who don't. So there ya go.

I didn't know either but I didn't sit there and play with the mirror. My other Tacoma had the overhead console display and that was pretty plain and simple. Thanks for the tip none the less.

Hate the auto dim! Anyway to prevent that?

 

I like the mirrors that you can flip the bottom of the mirror and then it dims. I am still on the fence about liking the auto dim or not.

 

Another bug! Turning on the headlights and the radio display dims!

 

You can change that in your settings.

I guess you can change the compass to show "S" when it should be "N?"

i read the damn manual cover to cover i was so excited about getting the truck. at work of course. when a lot of other stuff should have been getting done.
