Any substitutes for plastic clips that hold in mud flaps?

    Hey everyone.
The other day I had taken off my mud flaps because I wanted to derp them. I screws were easy to take off. I found that with the black, plastic clips there were the biggest pain in the ass. Some of them had so much dirt in them, they weren't coming out. Even one of them had a massive rock between the body and the mud flap. I had broken pretty much everyone that I had taken out with a flat headed screw driver.

I was wondering is there a substitute to the plastic clips? Is there possible a metal screw alternative?

    Any help would be appreciated.

    Thanks!

New pop-its are your best bet you can get em at the parts store.

Pop-its suck but using screws and clips or expanding deals behind them is worse.

My local Kragen store has a display of black plastice clips and fasteners.
I got a size that works OK.
