07 2.7L EGR ???

    07 Tacoma access 4x4
    turbo KN Filter 3" Lift Kit Rock Sliders TRD Skid plate ProComp 285/75R16, Removed. FJ Wheels w/ 265/70R17 Delay wiper switch 168xxx miles, engine lost compression at cyl 1. Replaced with pulled engine with 63k miles (non Turbo).
    Lately my 2007 Tacoma 2.7l, 5speed, 4x4, 130K+ miles has been sounding pretty rough like exhaust has holes in it + lacking power at hi end.
    look under and did not find any leaks, but at stop I can smell exhaust fumes.
    took to my mechanic and he said that it is my EGR tube?? now I did not think that this motor has an EGR system.
    cannot find any thread on this... or locate this in the engine compartment
    if I am wrong may be someone can post a pic of what I should be looking for..
