Try getting a quote from Carmax. They offered me more than any of the dealerships on a car I had a few years ago. You also don't have to buy a vehicle from them.

Just like someone else mentioned there is no way I would pay "full price"(same as new) for a used vehicle. I have considered trading up to 4wd and tried looking for used 4wd Tacomas in the 2010-2013 years but it hasn't been enough of a price difference for me to pull the trigger on a used one so I will end up getting a new one if I decide to do so.

The Tacoma can be a great family vehicle as well :D

I just got a letter from a dealer here in Maine they wanted $4,200 and my 2011 truck for a brand new one. Some one's going to make out and I don't think they mean me. Sell it out right they bring some crazy money.

Got the wife a deal on a 2013 venza. I really love the interior . Has some nice features I wish the taco had . One thing im in love with is it has the mellow leds in the cup-holders  , so simple but I love it . Interior is so nice, sold us right away.

While it's great you get to keep your truck...

I'm kinda confused... how does a new 2013 not make your budgetary situation worse?

    Inquiring minds, want to know!

Congrats! Be a good dad and keep the truck. Give the truck to the kid when he\she turns sixteen. Don't sweat the small stuff man.

well I wanted to drop my payment and get my wife a new car, But after weeks of playing hardball with the deaers I got good money for her rav4 and a nice chunk off the veza .

We can afford it I just initially didnt want to . I will have to make some life style sacrifices.

My wife has a 2011 Venza AWD. She loves it. Although it's nice and it's loaded with goodies I think it drives like an appliance. But I rarely drive it myself.

Lmao at appliance . I think it rode the best out of the other cars in the price range , new rav and rav felt so cheap and rode even worse . New rouge was nice but my frontier left a bad taste in my mouth cause of reliability issues . Other option was a legacy which I really liked but she wanted a suv .

Time for BHLM on the Venza so it matches.
